From Marco Banales: Sporting Dog Fanciers of New Mexico will be hosting a "Meet the Breeds" during CABELAS Family Dog Day Event Saturday April 7, 2018 9:30 - 4:00 PM , 5151 Lang Ave. NW Albuquerque NM It's located on the SW corner of Paseo del Norte and I-25. Open to all Breeds. Great opportunity to socialize your dogs. Bring your breed specific information, handouts, etc. for the general public. Cabelas is a dog friendly store. Tthe NADAC Trial Premium with registration opening March 7th.  This is a fun, small, casual trial completely fenced on grass.  NADAC has no tire, table or teeter in their Courses which makes it a good venue for beginning agility dogs and a Tunnelers Course which is fun and fast for all dogs - young, experienced or older.

It’s time to mark your calendars for the Zia All-Breed ASCA Sanctioned Agility Trial to be held on April 21-22, 2018. We’ll be running indoors at the Expo New Mexico Horse Arena in Albuquerque, and Kay Stimson is judging. We’re looking forward to fun and challenging courses!

This Spring Lobo Lure Coursing Club will have it all … CATs, Fast CATs, ASFA and AKC lure coursing.  Also introducing LGRA events sponsored by the Racing Union of New Mexico (RUNM).

March 10th and 11th we will be hosting two AKC Coursing Ability Tests and two FAST CAT Tests, (one CAT each morning and one Fast CAT each afternoon) at the Rio Rancho Sports Complex, 3501 High Resort Blvd. Rio Rancho, NM  87144.  CAT/ Fast CAT premium (may need to copy/paste into your browser):

Want to see how fast your dog can run?  Fast CAT is a timed 100-yard dash.  AKC maintains a list of the top-20 fastest dogs in every breed.  Here’s just a handful of top dog speeds of those dogs competing in Fast CATs:  Borzoi 35.39 MPH; Pointer 25.83 MPH; Greyhound 39.41 MPH; Chihuahua 20.45 MPH; Pembroke Welsh Corgi 22.33 MPH; Saluki 36.79 MPH; All American Dog 37.887 MPH down to 2.09 MPH (big variety in the All American Dog category).  Both CAT and Fast CAT events offer suffix titles.
